Brisbane Playground Reviews

What would you do with your children in Brisbane?

A couple weeks ago, we took a road trip, went for a big long drive and ended up in Brisbane. We spend almost a week in the city with a lot to do and see. There was one thing that our children really liked to do and wanted to do everyday, guess what was it? ...... We went to playground, of course! Here are our three favorite playgrounds in Brisbane.

Riverside Green Playground, South Bank

Date of Visit: Saturday 26th, August 2017

Riverside Green Playground is located in South Bank of the Brisbane River. It is a great place to unwind and relax here, even tho you don't have small children.  There are delightful events all year round at South Bank for both children and adults. There are also swimming pool, beach, rainforest. However, this is children's blog, so let's focus on the playground.

The playground is suitable for children age 2 - 15 years old. There is a pirate ship area for toddlers, wide slides and swings for preschoolers, skywalk, bridge, mouse wheel and supernova for school age children. The playground looks bright and bold with the state-of-art play equipment. Our children didn't want to go home. Mr Four liked to walk on the skywalk and Miss Two loved climbing up and down the wide slide.

Because this is a popular playground in the city, there are a lot of people there on the weekend. You might want to keep and eyes on your children and might have to practice with them in case they get lost. For example, our children have my phone number on their wrist and they know that they need to ask someone to dial the number for them.

New Farm Park Playground

Date of Visit: Sunday 27th, August 2017
More Information: http://www.newfarmpark.com.au

New Farm Park is a big public park on a bend of Brisbane River with Powerhouse arts centre at eastern end of the park. New Farm Park Playground is located on the northern side of the park. There are a lot of fun things to do at the playground from baby to teenagers. There is a baby area with sensory play equipment, climbing tree house for young children and climbing rope and skywalk for older children.

The playground has a huge wooden tree house as the main feature of the playground. The tree house is well designed to integrate with a big huge tree that children love to climb on. With less plastic play equipment and very well designed that combines with nature, the playground looks more calm and inviting. I have to admit that even I want to go and explore too. Our children spend hours at the playground.

Children Garden, Roma Street Parkland

Date of Visit: Monday 28th, August 2017

Roma Street Parkland is a huge public park in Brisbane. The playground is located in a section called Children Garden. The playground is not very big like the other two, but there are also a lot of fun things for toddlers to school ages children.

Beside the playground, Roma Street Parkland has a lot of attractions for both adults and young children. The playground is surrounded by an edible garden where you can take some veggies home. There are waterfalls, lake, fern gully, forest, spectacle garden, etc.  We spent all afternoon exploring the park, colourful garden and astonishing waterfalls.
